Our client, a global logistics provider with a multi-billion-euro turnover and offices worldwide, is seeking a Legal Compliance Manager to lead their compliance division. Based in Bangkok, this role will ensure legal and regulatory adherence while driving operational excellence within the organisation.

Responsibilities
  • Provide consultation on contractual logistics agreements
  • Oversee the application of logistics activities for hazardous and non-hazardous substances
  • Conduct reviews and audits to ensure compliance with the company’s QMS (ISO9001), EMS (ISO14001), and other standards such as ISO45001
  • Act as the Quality Management Representative (QMR) of the company
  • Maintain and audit TAPA certification, ensuring regular updates and implementation across locations
  • Ensure compliance with AEO and other government security regulations
  • Investigate internal and external compliance issues, recommending resolutions
  • Identify and manage compliance, operational, and environmental risks, exercising effective risk management strategies
  • Conduct environmental audits and ensure adherence to Occupational Health and Environmental Standards
  • Prepare and file compliance reports for regulatory bodies
  • Oversee the company’s safety and security policies, implementing and auditing security regulations to protect personnel and property
  • Conduct training on compliance, safety, and chemical handling for staff
  • Review subcontractor practices to improve cargo handling, loss prevention, and security
  • Manage operational insurance policies, including freight forwarding liability and property insurance
  • Coordinate contingency, business continuity, and emergency response plans
  • Regularly update management on risk management performance and prepare regional reports
  • Support clients with security and cargo loss/damage-related issues
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Law
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Legal or Compliance roles
  • Solid understanding of business law, compliance, and risk management principles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Strong multi-tasking and logical communication skills in dynamic environments
  • Experience in advising managers on complex legal issues and key risks in contracts
  • Excellent written and spoken English for internal communication, meetings, and document preparation
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver accurate and timely advice on a wide range of issues
