You'll troubleshoot basic hardware and software issues while assisting with ICT service tasks in collaboration with ICT service owners. Responsibilities
- Prepare and configure devices (e.g., laptops, desktops, mobile phones) for new users
- Install software and applications in compliance with EWS ICT procedures
- Track inventory and maintain ICT hardware for optimal performance
- Inspect, store, and handle hardware properly; coordinate replacements and upgrades
- Dispose of outdated hardware following EWS ICT guidelines
- Liaise with service providers (e.g., internet, phone) to ensure service continuity
- Address and escalate service issues to minimize disruptions
- Provide professional, timely technical support (on-site and remote) for hardware and software issues
- Assist with basic tasks like password resets and ICT awareness initiatives
- Undertake ad-hoc tasks or projects as assigned by R&D or ICT managers
Requirements
- B.Sc in computer sciences, MIS or related field with at least 1 years
- Proficient in English (mandatory)
- Strong knowledge of ICT hardware/software (e.g., notebooks, printers, Microsoft Office)
- Familiar with tools like Google Workspace and Microsoft 365
- Skilled in troubleshooting ICT issues and basic networking (e.g., LAN/WAN, VPN)
- Experience with Windows, Android, and iOS
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
- Customer-focused and able to work independently
