Senior IT Specialist

Our client is a leader in semiconductor manufacturing, specialising in producing high-quality electronic components. They are committed to innovation and excellence, making significant strides in the technology industry. Currently, they are seeking a skilled and dedicated Senior IT Specialist to join their team.
Senior IT Specialist role involves managing IT projects and systems across multiple sites. It includes coordinating teams, handling vendor relationships, and overseeing IT maintenance in the APAC region.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate IT infrastructure projects across APAC sites.
• Oversee design, setup, and maintenance of networks, servers, storage, and cloud services.
• Support planning, deployment, and maintenance of large-scale infrastructure and voice/data networks.
• Work with Facilities and local IT teams on new requirements, renovations, and new sites.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network and infrastructure issues.
• Plan, test, and implement network, server, and workstation hardware/software.
• Manage vendors for IT projects and infrastructure changes.
• Provide documentation, training, and guidance to users and programmers.
• Prepare reports and updates for team members, stakeholders, and leadership.
• Maintain IT systems for offices and sites in the region.
• Implement and manage workplace collaboration tools.
• Perform other assigned duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• 8 years in IT infrastructure management
• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field (college graduate required)
• Advanced experience in designing and managing enterprise-level infrastructure and security
• Strong knowledge of networking, operating systems, cloud, and virtualization
• Proven project management skills (Agile/Waterfall)
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to design and coordinate high-speed data networks
• Good knowledge of server and network hardware
• Familiarity with Exchange and SQL Server
• Knowledge of ITIL/Service Management
• Experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and SIEM
• PMI or Agile certification, or 5 years of project management experience
